the weather has been beyond nice lately.
beginning of march and it's was already in the low 80's with almost no humidity.
just this once thank you, global warming.
so it's got me feeling all springy already.
time for some easter crafts!
moss wreath:
i used a thrift store picture frame, moss, hobby lobby bunnies, and plastic eggs that i mod podged readers digest pages onto.
i did alot of eggs, so it was a little time consuming, but other than that, super easy.
total cost of actual supplies used: around $5.
cheap, easy, and fun= my kind of crafting.
there's lots of square wreath ideas floating out there, and i love the square take on a classic wreath.
i know my book case is too crowded.
the wreath holder i made back in the fall with some ladies from my old ward. i was going for the shabby chic look, but got a little too carried away with the sand paper. trust me, it's easy to do. but this time it matches the vintage style.
next i decided to do a more typical easter look. i'm not a huge fan of bright easter colors, but i saw this idea done several different ways online and wanted to try it.
i went with the ideas inspired by this fun blog: http://spunkyjunky.blogspot.com/2011/04/i-loathe-easter-grass-but-i-do-love.html
paint chip card banner:
i helped myself to some walmart paint card samples and hand cut peep-like bunnies, then some slits and threaded a ribbon through the little guys.
i got this printable online and put it in a frame i already had.
for something to keep my hands busy at practically no cost, it was a fun project. cutting and measuring aren't really my thing, so i know it doesn't look perfect. but it adds color to the room.
there's my decorations for a while until i catch another creative wave.
so anybody working on anything fun?
